Business Analyst

• We are seeking a Business Analyst Specialist to support Client Wealth Management initiatives, beginning with the Direct Indexing strategy. This role will lead the analysis, documentation, and delivery of business and technology initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across portfolio management, trading, operations, compliance, risk, legal, marketing, and technology to deliver solutions that improve advisor and client experiences while meeting business and regulatory requirements.
• As a key member of cross-functional teams, you will translate business needs into scalable, effective solutions and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, implementation, training, and post-launch support. You will work closely with investment and technology teams and be responsible for communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Business Analysis & Requirements Management:o Lead business analysis activities for Direct Indexing initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to advance business needs, evaluate solution options, and translate requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
o Manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and operational processes.
o Support backlog refinement, prioritization, release planning, and business readiness activities while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints.
o Act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making and successful delivery.
• Process Design & Client Experience:
o Analyze and document current-state processes and partner with stakeholders to design future-state solutions that support the Direct Indexing operating model and client lifecycle.
o Evaluate end-to-end business processes, system interactions, and user journeys to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and advisor/client experience.
o Ensure business process, operational, and technology impacts are fully understood and reflected in requirements, solution design, and acceptance criteria.
o Document workflows, operating models, roles and responsibilities, business rules, and process dependencies to support implementation, governance, and ongoing operations.
o Partner with Change Management and business stakeholders to assess impacts, support operational readiness, and enable successful adoption of new processes and capabilities.
o Provide recommendations grounded in customer, advisor, and employee experience considerations, while ensuring solutions are practical, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery Support:
o Collaborate with business sponsors, portfolio management, trading, operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and external partners to drive alignment and delivery outcomes.
o Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, reviews, and decision forums to define requirements, resolve issues, and build consensus.
o Communicate project status, priorities, risks, and key decisions effectively across business and technology teams.
• Testing, Implementation & Change Readiness:
o Support testing and implementation activities, including business validation, user acceptance testing, defect management, and solution readiness assessments.
o Assist with implementation planning, process updates, user communications, training materials, and post-launch stabilization to ensure successful adoption.
• Governance, Risk & Continuous Improvement:
o Ensure solutions, processes, and documentation align with governance, compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements.
o Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable Direct Indexing operating model, with appropriate controls, oversight, and auditability.
o Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and advisor/client experience.
o Promote a strong risk culture and support an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
o Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
o Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Client’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Direct Indexing (capital market)• 5+ years of experience leading requirements management, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution validation.
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting UAT, implementation, and post-launch stabilization
• Experience with portfolio management platforms (Charles River, MPower)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• SQL• Data analysis, and reporting experience
• Change management experience
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to bridge business and technology teams
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, Information Systems, or related field.Best VS. Average Candidate:
• The ideal candidate brings strong business analysis experience, with expertise in wealth management, investment platforms, portfolio management processes, and Agile delivery, along with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Candidate Review & Selection:
• 2 rounds• 1st round – HM + Business Lead – 45 mins – in-person (case study)
• 2nd round – VP – 15 mins – MS Teams Video (cultural fit)
• For 1st round in-person IV, the candidates will receive a case study prior to the IV that they will have to analyze and present during the IV. Instructions will be included once the HM sends out the case study, HM will allow for at least 48 hours to prepare for IV. The candidates will be expected to prepare a 2-page slide presentation (5-10 mins of presentation time)
• The IV will take place at 40 King Street W.
• Candidates will meet HM near elevators and they will be escorted up to the 15th floor.
