Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: GWRT Global Capital Markets Technology group supports multiple in house applications, maintaining Post Trade Data across markets globally for Middle and Front Office users.
• Project: The group is focused on a high initiative to modernize their Legacy Post Analytic Trade Data fed from Front and Middle Office Applications.
• Reason for request:

Typical Day in Role:

• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5 + years’ Capital Markets Industry experience as a BSA, supporting Global Entity work flows
• 5 + years’ Data driven analysis and Reporting:
• 5 + years’ Reading / writing complex queries in PL/SQL (contractor will need to understand the complexities of the queries and identify if something is wrong)
• 7 + years’ Experience Running Reports with SAP Business Objects OR Power BI OR Tableau to ingest data in the approvals
• 5 + years’ industry related throughout the Trade Life Cycle, specifically within Equity Life Cycle
• Excellent communication skills required: Resource will be working with technical and non-technical users as well as Senior Stakeholders – successful candidate will need to ensure they are able to understand the audience they are speaking to and build strong relationships with regular users

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Have experience with ETL or ELT Tools: Talend, SSIS, NiFi, Informatica or Data Stage is a plus
• Business Analyst certifications are a plus
• Canadian Securities Certificate (CSC)
• Jira / Confluence Experience
• MBA completion is a plus
• UI / Wireframing experience is a plus – will join the designers to contribute to the layout of the user pages

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 2-3 Step Process: (1 technical with HM + Senior BSA) + (1 HM + Director) + potentially one with senior stakeholders
• Hiring Manager’s availability to interview: ASAP

Additional Notes:

• Post Trade Data – once the data comes in, it is fed through and considered Mid -Office support – the team will override products and can update the applications that Mid Office guys use – successful candidates will understand this flow
• Very Specific Items that need to finish: – Post Trade Analytics – Framework sits on Equity Management Information Systems** can
• supporting Global Entity workflows. end to end – how does data get entered; need to understand how that is represented
• Need to understand how the elements all interact with one another – to better understand how things – Trade Data – Position Data – should be able to tell what the classification systems are that relate to a particular ticker – should have understanding of specific feedback** will be completing a lot of analysis and creating artifacts on how to enhance and what the roadmap will look like* will have to have SQL capabilities – and exposure to Power BI, SAP, – **trade life cycle experience**
• Very strong communication skills; understanding your audience and adjusting  talking to a technical person and understanding what to speak about – if it is a director can be *communicating with different users – not being shy and calling them directly and have the ability to persuade to get the information you need* build relationship with people in a higher capacity – if you build a good relationship -this is something new**
• RBC / TD resources are good -but not so worried about where they come from – as long as they have Equity experience*
– International equity experience is a plus – specifically within LATAM Market*
