Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Credit Risk Data & Analytics
• The Business Banking Data Governance Office belongs to Credit Risk Data & Analytics. BBDGO focuses on the Bank’s the bank’s non-retail lending portfolio. It’s responsibility is to ensure data quality compliance activities relating to Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) meet the BCBS 239 principles and Data Office Policies.
• Project: The candidate will be working on the Data Remediation Audit Program, to help support the implementation of data compliance activities that are impacted by the recently migrated risk data systems.
• Reason for request: Workload increase

Typical Day in Role:

• The role will be to assist with our data policy compliance helping perform the following:
o Perform GAP analysis on exiting governance documentation to identify where updates are required
o Coordinate with various stakeholders to make the required updates to the governance documentation
o Coordinate with various stakeholders to manage approvals of the governance documentation
o Work with the Senior Manager to ensure all updates and changes are registered correctly in the governance platforms

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in a related Business Analyst Role
• Experience with data governance documentation

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• FI experience highly preferred
• BA certification is an asset
• Knowledge of BCBS 239 RDARR (Risk Data Aggregation and reporting requirements) regulatory compliance principles.

• Agile thinker to be quick on their feet
• Self-starter that actively engages issues seeking resolution, ability to meet dynamic changes on prioritization
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight

• Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
• Strong investigation, prioritization, and organization skills
• Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approach, and be able to assess each situation separately
• Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Education & Certificates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• The best candidate is someone with extensive analysis skills who has the skills to perform the task with little supervision and is able to navigate the situation and propose resolutions. Someone with exposure to a Risk management environment.

• 2 Rounds of interviews – 1st round with Hiring manager and a colleague – Video call Ms teams 30 mins – Talk about work experience and get to know 2nd round – Hiring manager and Director–office interview- 30 mins- Assess previous experience and skills.
