Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities:

• The Enterprise Data Governance Office (EDGO) is responsible for guiding the deployment of the Enterprise Data Strategy across client and for driving value from data as an enterprise asset.
• To support this mandate, the EDGO provides unified approaches, tools, processes & standards for managing data – and works collaboratively with business and technology partners to implement effective data management across the organization.
• Enterprise Data Lifecycle Management (EDLM) mandate is to develop a consistent approach to classifying, storing, accessing and disposing of information. EDLM guidelines help to reduce downstream data inconsistencies (e.g. data rework and remediation), foster a higher level of confidence in data-based decisions and ensuring adequate plans are in place by LOBs from a data retention and disposition perspective. As EDLM matures its operating model, it will enable client to implement an appropriate defensible disposition approach, mitigate risks and result in storage cost efficiencies.

Job Description:

• Lead ongoing operational activities for all quarterly LOB data inventory submissions; provide oversight of all back-end activities/processes; develop and customize quarterly submission requirements & execution plans
• Develop powerful and relevant insights from quarterly submission data, using advanced data analytical techniques and approach; provide input into DAR/DOD metrics
• Support all relevant projects and initiatives related to the maturation of the EDLM program; including (but not limited to) Data Book of Record (DBOR), EDLM Challenge Framework, and other relevant initiatives
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners (i.e. Data Steward community, LOB owners), providing program awareness and apprised on program changes that impact the work being completed by LOBs
• Actively contribute to overall EDLM strategic roadmap and project planning activities to meet and deliver overall EDGO strategic objectives
• Support in facilitating planning sessions for governance councils and relative forums, and coordination of meetings related to processes/procedures and other key discussions
• Support the execution of EDLM communication strategy to manage key messaging across Data Steward community; develop messaging to communicate program changes, create requirement & process documentation, and email communication (executive & non-executive audience)
• Act as the EDLM subject matter expert by providing support with logging, quality control, and maintenance of incoming business inquiries, change or exception requests to the Enterprise Data and Information Classification & Retention Schedule.

• Strong communication and business writing skills to develop program communications & content
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skill
• Ability to effectively facilitate meetings of any size including the documentation of decisions and action items
• Ability to interact with Senior & Executive Management with strong client organizational awareness
• Ability to work independently, think critically, negotiate and make decisions
• Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

Business & Data Analytics Skills

• Advanced to expert knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project lifecycle
• Excellent analytical skills to conduct relevant data analysis to develop data insights (ability to ‘tell a story’) highlight themes, trends, and risk areas across LOBs as it relates to the EDLM program
• Develop strong proficiency in utilization and understanding of internal EDLM tools & processes;
• Ability to answer and research questions in reference to the work effort being led
• Ability to understand macros developed in VBA is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ability to present data results and insights using MS Excel and other tools

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

• Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders across multiple functions and Line of Businesses (LOBs); while functioning as an EDLM SME
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across Data Stewards, Data Liaisons as well as LOBs to provide support and engagement as part of the EDLM program
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through other

• University degree required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to operate in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous, matrixed environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (utilizing macros and pivot tables)
• Ability to understand macros developed in VBA would be helpful but not mandatory
• Previous knowledge of the EDLM program (specially related to Retention & Disposition) is considered an asset

Must Have:

• 8+ years of experience as business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project lifecycle
• University Degree
• Advance MS Excel
• Exp managing stakeholders
