Story Behind the Need

• Business group: The Global Wealth Engineering client technology team is transforming the digital experience for its clients. The team partners and works closely with the client Digital team to bring world-class digital experiences for all Client Wealth Management channels. The team plays a key role in helping investors manage their investments and reach their financial goals.
• Project: Star project – planning and initiation phase; upgrade of an existing client onboarding platform, move from on-prem to vendor-hosted model
• BSA will be documenting requirements for the upgrade, working with SMEs – capturing process improvements and existing workflow requirements, integration requirements for the Star project
• 9 months project

Typical Day in Role:

• Support the business gathering requirements and operational management
• Assessing and aligned to the prioritized product backlog of the most important new features, refactoring of existing features and backlogged defects.
• Monitor industry trends and where applicable.
• Be expert in applicable advisor practices and/or operational processes and seek out opportunities for process improvements that could be facilitated by system enhancements.
• Coordinate stakeholder input to elicit feedback for product enhancements to bring into the product backlog.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to breakdown larger projects into more granular, prioritized components that may be released individually.
• Work with stakeholders and team to articulate business requirements to support development, QA and change management activities for new product feature implementation.
• Coordinate with other delivery teams including but not limited to Enterprise Architecture, Software Development, QA, Deployment Management, Security and Defect Management in the execution of projects or release vehicles
• Work closely with the application development and the quality assurance team members during all stages of the system development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technology sides of the solution.
• Coordinate and assist users during user acceptance testing cycle where required.
• Maintain a broad knowledge base of the products that support the client’ business especially those that are advisor or operations supporting.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years BSA experience
• 5+ years’ experience with tools JIRA, Confluence
• 5+ years’ experience working on large program/project initiatives with technology and/or technology components is required
• 5+ years’ hands-on experience with process re-engineering
• 5+ years’ experience working in an Agile environment

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Financial Services experience

Soft Skills Required:

• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Presentation skills
• Openness to ideas, willingness to take on any task or role, focus on the customer, and a constant view of the big picture.

Education:

• Degree not required – value work experience more
• Agile/CSM/Scrum certifications an asset

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Ideal candidate is autonomous, able to gather and work on requirements with minimal supervision

• 1 round – MS Teams Video Interview – 30-45 minutes – HM/Tech Lead – standard interview going through experience
