Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: GBM&GT Finance Technology
• Project: GBM&GT Finance Technology is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a Corporate Lending Replacement project.
• This position is to service the Finance IT for the HAMMER Program.
• This role specifically if for the Loan IQ stream and is replacing ACBS. The HAMMER Program is about the implementation of a new ledger stack – data lack, accounting engine, and general ledger, which are all oracle based.
• Need a BA to document requirements, understand user needs, participate in testing, as well as financial product knowledge, as well as an understanding of the Oracle software stack.
• Reason for request: Workload

Typical Day in Role:

• The candidate will be connecting with product control and local finance teams
• Documenting requirements, attending meetings, taking minutes, etc
• Doing analysis on those requirements and analysis on data to make sure it is fit for purpose
• The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 10+ years of experience is a similar technical Business Analyst role preferably at a large FI
• 10+ years of experience in financial product accounting by example Securities derivatives lending products
• 7+ years of experience manipulating data and working with large data sets

Nice to have skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Oracle software stack
• Business side knowledge and finance knowledge is nice to have
• Experience manipulating data and working with large data sets

Soft Skills:

• Self-starter that actively engages issues seeking resolution, ability to meet dynamic changes on prioritization
• Excellent communications skills to coordinate with high ranking individuals internally (Sr Manager and Director level generally)
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
• Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
• Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
• Strong investigation, prioritization, and organization skills
• Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approach, and be able to assess each situation separately
• Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or related required
• Masters degree or equivalent preferred

• 1 Step Process possibly 2 if necessary. 1st with HM, 2nd with HM + Colleague
• Hiring Manager’s availability to interview: Interview to take place
