Job Description

• Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications and Colleague Engagement, the Manager, Communications is responsible for providing strategic recommendations and developing and managing the execution of communications for a range of programs and initiatives in support of client Direct Investing & Wealth Delivery. Working with project teams, business partners and subject matter experts, you will take a leadership role in the development and execution of client and colleague communications that support the Direct Investing & Wealth Delivery strategy. Accountabilities will include:
o Manage the development and execution of communications strategies for projects and initiatives, from needs assessment, through development, to distribution.
o Provide communications guidance to the Direct Investing & Wealth Delivery leadership team and subject matter experts from a variety of functional areas.
o Create content and messaging in the appropriate voice and tone that aligns to the appropriate audiences
o Champion communications best practices and make recommendations that enhance the Direct Investing client and colleague experience.
o Manage ongoing relationships with enterprise partners (e.g. compliance, legal, technology) to ensure coordination of communication activities, as required.
o Support incident and crisis communications; some on-call responsibilities outside regular working hours as needed.
o This position is ideally suited for an individual who is a self-starter with solid writing skills, business acumen, effective time management skills and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

Must haves:

• 5+ years relevant experience in a communications environment in corporate or business communications environment, preferably within wealth industry or technology
• Demonstrated experience in internal and external (client) communications, and at providing strategic communications counsel to business partners.
• Ability to manage and deliver on competing initiatives under tight timelines in an agile environment, while staying resilient and positive under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to synthesize information quickly
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance changing requirements and priorities.
• Naturally curious to understand business objectives and opportunities and gain organizational awareness.

Nice to haves:

• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
