Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Canadian Analytics – team is in charge of campaign execution, going through data, and selecting eligible customers for targeted marketing communications
• Project: Campaign Design and Execution – BAU – consultant will be doing a lot of data analysis, sizing, building of the campaign, working in Pega for campaign builds

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, innovative team that supports the Campaign Design and Execution functions within bank’s Canadian Bank Analytics group.
• This individual will develop analytical solutions to help solve a wide array of business problems, including acquisition, and engagement strategies across our customer base.

Typical Day in Role:

• Design, build and execute customer marketing offers/communications based on eligibility, analytics, decisioning logic and segmentations to help elevate our customer’s experiences across channels and move to a personalized 1:1 customer journey
• Apply Next Best Action design principles to build & test decision strategies/campaign eligibility using Pega application to execute and monitor marketing offers
• Document and implement business requirements to deliver key customer interactions across multiple channels
• Analyze and synthesize data around campaign presentment and customer responses to identify trends, deliver key insights and business recommendations around a customer-first approach to driving acquisition and engagement
• Act as liaison between analytics, technology, quality assurance, business stakeholders and channel partners
• Provide subject matter expertise on customer contact and support data validation activities
• Support production incident investigations and inquiries through our department help desk email

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within the banking or retail industry
• 8+ years’ experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g. SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, Google Cloud Platform, SAS etc.)
• Experience working with multiple business partners and delivery timelines in a mid to large sized and fast-paced type of organization

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience with Pega Marketing/Pega Decision Manager/Customer Decision Hub (CDH) preferred
• Certified with Pega Decisioning Consultant (PCDC) an asset
• Experience with targeted leads/campaign execution and segmentation an asset
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering marketing communications in a multi-channel marketing environment an asset
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)

Soft Skills Required:

• Self-motivated, strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, a high aptitude for problem solving and a natural interest in understanding customer behaviour

Education:

• Bachelors in related field
• Analytical background with a quantitative focus, such as statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science
• Certified with Pega Decisioning Consultant (PCDC) an asset

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Ideal candidate is strong technically with relational databases/SQL, and is able to work independently with minimal handholding, can hit the ground running, has worked within complex and highly matrixed organizations, a candidate who has recent and hands on Pega experience will set them apart, has worked with data visualization tools

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 2 rounds – MS Teams Video interviews – 30 minutes each – standard interview going through experience and probing on skillset
• 1st with HM
• 2nd with Director
