• Business group: CBE Commercial Banking Engineering
• Project: Commercial Banking Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join Technology team and help deliver secure, scalable, and customer-focused banking solutions. In this role, you will work within Agile teams to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications leveraging modern cloud, microservices, and web technologies. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver innovative solutions that support Client’s digital transformation strategy.
• Reason: New regulatory project requires developers to create code based on signed off Business stories.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Build responsive web applications using Angular and/or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions while adhering to security, compliance, and operational standards.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of Full stack development experience.
• 5+ years of Strong hands-on experience with:
o Java (11/17+)
o Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
o RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture
o Angular and/or React
o SQL and NoSQL databases
o Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event-Driven Architecture, and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
• Cloud certifications and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Best vs. Average Candidate:

• The ideal candidate would be an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with strong experience with Java, React, Kafka and SQL. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and organizational skills are critical for this role.

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
