Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Digital Technology
• Project: Digital Technology is seeking a ReactJS developer for ongoing projects that are running over from 2021 – the candidates will be working on BAU across any and all ongoing work within the group
• Reason for request: Workload Increase

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will not only have the opportunity to gain valuable experience at a top 5 Canadian bank, but also get exposure to a very in demand tech stack right now in AEM and React. The candidates will be hands on daily with the latest and greatest technologies, working on high impact projects across Digital Technology.

Typical Day in Role:

• Design, develop, and implement cloud based applications, using in-demand languages and technologies (ReactJS specifically)
• Working with the frontend team to help design and develop
• Follow scrum internally so start each day with stand up)
• 2 week sprints to structure the project and keep everything moving forward
• Provide maintenance updates, new functionality development, etc to ensure the application stays top of the line
• Working with the existing developers in the frontend group to make sure that the group is able to keep up with the pace of the backend, and other developers
• Prototypes interactive interfaces with multiple states and roles
• Designs consistent interfaces and experiences across multiple devices
• Experience in a fast-paced Agile Scrum Delivery Team environment

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 6+ years of front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and React.
• 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment and strong knowledge of related methodologies
• 3+ years of experience within a similar large FI or global financial services focused enterprise

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of Experience in AEM touch UI/modern components.
• 3+ years of Experience in AEM 6.5

Soft Skills:

• Ability to come in and hit the ground running – someone who is naturally motivated and wants to make an immediate impact
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal), Interacting with Product, Design, Front-end and Back-end Teams
• Excellent communication, including ability to distil technical details into human terms

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• React certifications are preferred

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 2 rounds :
o Hiring manager interview and tech round.
o Interviews to take place asap
