Story Behind the Need

• Business group: The GWRT Global Capital Technology Group supports Middle office functions and projects for the bank. Supports ETF Business Line
• Project: The group has is supporting the XVA Risk Calculator project within Capital Markets.
• Reason for request: Backfill

Candidate Value Proposition

• The successful candidate will be joining a high performing team that is working on a high-profile project in capital markets for the XVA Risk Calculator.

Typical Day in Role

• Develop, testing and deployment of new applications
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 3 + years’ UI Development with Angular 5.0 or higher
• 3 + years’ with hands on experience with micro-services: REST API
• Strong communication skills, clearly able to articulate needs verbally, working with traders

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Recent Capital Markets experience is a plus

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Candidate Review & Selection

• 2 Step Process: Microsoft teams – 1 coding interview on the fly + 1 interview with senior management

Additional Notes

• Role will be approximately 100% UI development with Angular – posting will be creating net new codes + some reengineering (60% new codes; 30-40% adding features / enhancements to application)
• The successful developers will be dynamic by nature and will excel with multiple moving pieces between front, middle and back end applications
• The way contractor codes are the most critical skillset – how do they code, is it readable? this will be tested in the interviews* the codes are often already built* taking existing code and enhancing – will be part of the work
