Summary of day to day responsibilities:
• Senior Treasury Analyst, Closed Balance Sheet BRR (STA)

Overview of Responsibilities
• The Senior Analyst will act as the subject matter expert representing CBS in FTP Migration to SOFR-based Transfer Pricing project and will work extensively with FTP groups, other TBSM functions, project and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:
• Act as an SME in FTP Migration to SOFR project for multiple deliverables and ensure scope is achieved
• Perform comprehensive analysis of the impacts to CBS reporting and margin differential calculations
• Work with CBS team members to develop and document business requirements for changes to existing reporting and to implement new reporting where necessary to support team objectives
• Partner with project team and technology to develop and implement the enhanced reporting requirements
• Conduct business acceptance and other relevant testing tests to make sure result variances are explained
• Provide updates on the project, and present to all levels of the organization, including senior management
• Support other TBSM teams by providing expertise on banking product features and project expectations
• Engage multiple stakeholders to understand the process implications and manage the change delivery
• Develop and foster a positive working relationship with partners and project stakeholders

Department Overview:
• The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of client is responsible for overseeing the management of client Canadian and US P&C: non-trading market risk, consolidated liquidity risk and consolidated capital position.

• The Closed Balance Sheet (CBS) team collaborates with multiple TBSM stakeholders to identify, quantify & determine root causes for any deviation to the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework and the resolution of structural balance sheet measurement discrepancies. CBS can be thought of as the finance lead (think CFO) for treasury: explaining results, P&L implications, and more generally the analysis of structural balance sheet issues. This role will be instrumental in facilitating and understanding the implications to TBSM’s results reporting of the BRR project and specifically the transition of transfer pricing on a LIBOR bases to a SOFR basis.

• Post-secondary degree
• MBA, CFA considered assets

Familiarity with:
• Principles of asset/liability management, capital markets, and how Treasury delivers value
• TBSM processes and how they interconnect
• The features and characteristics of retail banking products
• FTP concepts and their application to P&C banking products.

Experience with:
• Mapping-out/re-engineering processes and work flows, including associated change management
• Communicating with all levels of the organization, including senior management
• Managing projects, gathering & analyzing business requirements and explaining requirements to system developers
• Managing cross functional teams to deliver key initiatives
• Simplifying complex concepts and business results in terms understandable by audiences with varied backgrounds & seniority levels
