Team overview:

The Practice Management team is dedicated to the training and development of Advisors, Leaders and Support teams in Client’s Wealth’s Advice Businesses. We focus on developing the critical skills and providing thought leadership that will drive Advisor and Business growth to help the Businesses we serve grow market share. We work in close partnership with the Portfolio Advice and Investment Research team and the Wealth Planning Support teams to provide end to end support to advisers on Practice Management and Investment Solutions. As part of the Client Wealth Practice Management team; we are focused on enabling our advisors to deliver Legendary Client Experiences through every stage of our Sales and Client Engagement model.

Job description:

• As part of the PWM Distribution Solutions & Wealth Practice Management team under Practice Management, the Training Strategy and Curriculum team provides end to end learning support for all Wealth initiatives. This includes: training needs assessments, curriculum roadmaps, learning strategy, identification of resource requirements, design and multimedia development, management of learning activities and evaluation. We work closely with the Practice Management training delivery teams, Client Wealth businesses (FP, PWM etc.), business architecture and technology stakeholders to help increase practice efficiency and maximize revenue.
• As an Instructional Designer & Developer, you can design and develop innovative learning solutions that strengthen employee capabilities that align with business objectives for the introduction and adoption of Wealth 360, a CGI based portfolio management platform. You have a strong understanding of learning design and multimedia development with the ability to produce training across multiple modalities (eLearning, ILT, VILT, social, mobile). The Instructional Designer & Developer will report to the Senior Learning Consultant, Practice Management.


Provide Practice Management with Wealth 360 training solutions that meet the program objectives.

•Responsible for overall design, development, testing, implementation and evaluation of training solutions for Wealth 360 ensuring objectives are met
•Responsible for the visual design, development and packaging of training across all modalities.
•Identify and manage tasks, deliverables, resources, timelines, and critical success factors and consult with appropriate project and business partners to coordinate all impacted parties
•Provide specialized expertise / guidance in select learning technology that will provide innovative solutions and meet project learning objectives
•Track resources, work effort, budget and provide regular updates to the Senior Learning Consultant and escalate issues where appropriate
•Lead the creative design and build of Wealth 360 training deliverables, including instructional frameworks, content mapping, innovative activities, prototypes and storyboard development.
•Participate fully as a member of the Wealth team and contribute to a positive work environment
•Facilitate web-based training sessions when required

Must have:

•5-7+ yrs an Instructional Designer & Developer from finance industry
•Creative; Able to visually design artifacts & templates including Workbooks, Presentations, Reference Guides, Infographics etc.
•Exp. designing,producing,testing,launching digital content (eLearning, podcasts, video, virtual training) that conforms to bank technology, learning mgt. system & accessibility standards
•Advanced exp. using training development software & social networking (like Captivate, StoryLine, Webex, Skype & Adobe Connect)
•Knowledge of adult learning principles, L&D industry best practices & L&D technology
•Exp. in performance consulting practices & instructional design using ADDIE model
•Exp. leading change mgt. initiatives
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills (both one-on-one and in groups)
•Post-secondary education in a business-related discipline

Nice to have:

•Knowledge of Wealth 360 (CGI manufacturer of the product – system platform
•A relevant HR and/or Learning & Development designation or Certification/degree
