Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering – Applications – mobile engineering team – supporting wealth and retail mobile applications
• Project: To support e2e project control related duties for business and technology needs – overseeing multiple initiatives

Candidate Value Proposition:

Typical Day in Role:

• Develop, track, and manage project budget, project WBS, timelines, and scope.
• Manage project resources, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
• Partner closely with other members of functional teams (business line, marketing, design, and technology) to define business requirements.
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Facilitate the UAT process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses; ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
• Attend meetings regularly, informing stakeholders and meeting with the team.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 3-4+ years of proven IT Project Management experience using Agile methodologies
• 1-2 years’ + experience as a Program Manager – managing multiple IT initiatives
• 1+ years’ experience with project management tools and software: Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (please list which)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience with developing UAT test plans
• CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification
• Experience with Salesforce CRM implementation and improvement.
• CSM/Agile Certifications an asset

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment.
• Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
• Demonstrates creativity and adaptability when identifying solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
• Demonstrates proactivity and accountability


• Bachelor’s degree, technical field preferred
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) nice to have
• CSM/Agile Certifications nice to have

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Ideal candidate is a well-rounded program manager who has experience with various technologies, mid-tier, front-end and host; has strong soft skills to be able to work with multiple stakeholders, strong presentation skills

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 1 round – MS Teams Video Interview – 45 minutes – with HM – standard behavioral + going through experience and projects they have worked on
