Story Behind the Need

• Business Group: The Project Delivery and Support Group is searching for Senior IT Program Managers to manage high level work streams for net new programs that are revenue generating for the bank.
• Project: This high priority project will be directly supporting Stakeholder and SVPs for a confidential revenue generating project for the bank. The successful Program Manager has high level experience supporting large scopes of $50 million + and comes with expert level understanding and expertise to support SVP workstreams.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Develops and leads the execution of innovation or delivery strategies for one or more products, services, platforms or technical specialties
• Is accountable for setting technical standards, determining business value and identifying opportunities to leverage reusability and scalability
• Leads the solution of unique problems that have a broad impact on the business – accountability typically spans across multiple products, a line of businesses or with significant enterprise system impact
• Defines and maintains the roadmap
• Recommends technical strategy within a technical domain, may investigate and evaluate new technologies
• Impacts the technical direction and resource allocation for products, services or platforms supported
• Influences business trade-off decisions with direct impact on financials or operating results
• Takes a strategic focus aligned to business priorities
• At the highest levels, provides authoritative advice on the enterprise system, strategy, or develops innovative services or products
• Driving the delivery of the program/project
• Project Planning
• Project Monitoring & Control
• Status Reporting (e.g., dashboards, decks)
• Project Governance & reporting
• Project Closure
• Risk management – governing risk
• To advise the stakeholder

Must Have Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the Financial Services Industry, managing large complex projects, that have significant IT and operational components
• Excellent communication (verbal/written/presentation) to manage SVP and Stakeholder relations for a new program launch, proven through experience managing Steering Committee presentations (minimum 2 recent projects)
• Minimum last 3-5 projects with a large scope for the PM life cycle – Excellent track record managing projects of higher complexity, high risk and large budgets ($50 Million+) dealing with multiple stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Agile project management principles and practices and experience managing projects in an Agile environment – will likely be hybrid
• Mature interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, and influence, all types of professionals
• Expert Knowledge of project management tools with minimum 5 years’ experience navigating through programs utilizing CA PPM as a tool and similar techniques
• PMP certification is a must

Nice to have Skills:

• Scrum Master Certification (CSM) and/or Master’s degree / MBA

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
