• Business group: Technology Field Support
• Technology Planning & Coordination (TPC) is a centralized project coordination team that aids in technology deliverables for workplace transformations, relocations, net new builds, and office closures across the bank. As a Project Manager with TPC will lead a variety of projects across business lines and technologies, using various project management methodologies and tools. You will work in a culturally diverse environment while providing our Technology and Business partners with best-in-class project management expertise.
• Projects: This individual is responsible for the management of technology deliverables within a Real Estate project and/or Workplace Transformation. You’ll also have accountability for ensuring that the business needs and outcomes of the project are met as per business case requirements.

Our primary office in downtown Toronto is in the heart of Toronto’s financial district, our office is located right above the TTC’s Line 1 King subway station & is located minutes from GO Transit/VIA Rail hub at Union Station: as well as the TTC’s King 504 streetcar line.
Typical Day in Role:
• You manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank, as well as external vendors when required.
• You are accountable for planning the end-to-end design of significant processes and projects (the full journey)
• You demonstrate ability to develop and maintain high functioning project teams.
• Your influence’s business project decisions with direct impact on financials or operating results
• You act as a single point of contact for all technology components throughout the project life cycle.
• You can strategically influence project stakeholders on technical standards and design that optimize business performance and productivity.
• Ability to independently run project meetings and working sessions with project stakeholders of diverse authority levels and various technical support leads.
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Recommends technical strategy within a technical domain, may investigate, and evaluate new technologies.
• Work with executive sponsors and business managers to prioritize requirements, issues and deliverables.
• Defines and maintains the roadmap and project budget.
• The incumbent would prepare technology budgets, schedules, and manage support teams and external IT vendors when applicable. Renovations, expansions, relocations, new locations, and special move budget and scopes vary in sizes of up to $5 Million.
• Maintain strong working relationships with our Real Estate team to manage the development and progress of all projects by creating, negotiating, and monitoring performance schedules dependencies and resources.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 1-3 years of experience as a Project Manager, managing large complex multi-stream projects, that have significant IT and operational components, preferably in the financial services industry
• 1-3 years of exp – Excellent track record managing projects of high/medium complexity, high/medium risk and budgets (up to $1 Million+) dealing with multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication (verbal/written/presentation). Mature interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, and influence, all types of professionals.
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., CA PPM, MS Projects, Visio, Agile/Scrum, MS excel etc.)
• A passion for delivering superior levels of customer service and experience.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Nice to Haves: PMP certification or working towards
• Nice to Haves: Scrum Master certification (CSM), Professional ScrumMaster certification (PSM)
• FI experience is an asset.
Soft Skills Required:
• You have strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors
Education & Certificates:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
Best VS. Average Candidate:
• Having project management experience along with strong excel experience will make the candidate stand out to the HM. Customer service and communication skills is very important too. Technical knowledge on hardware and assets is appreciated.
