Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: GBM Onboarding team oversees the onboarding of new clients to bank with a team functioning internally.
• Project: This team’s volumes have grown by an average of 183% and require additional support with their day-to-day operations. These contractors will be experienced in KYC to be able to support QC’ing the files and supporting all high-risk clients to ensure we have oversight over risk and meet SLAs of the 2025 growth.

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a high-visibility to project, working closely with multiple bank’s departments, including an international team.

Typical Day in Role:

• Refresh data and documentation for existing clients on an ongoing basis per periodic review cycle in accordance with the firm`s policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct QC checks on data and documentation prepared.
• Interacting with bankers and relationship managers to obtain required information.
• Conduct follow-up with internal partners to ensure timely actions on those cases that require their input.
• Update firm systems and databases with information/documentation obtained from clients.
• Handle inquiries and ad hoc requests from internal clients including Compliance where required.
• Produce high quality error-free work independently on a timely basis with at expected throughput rates.
• Ability to handle volume spikes and prioritize work including ad-hoc requests and projects to meet business demands in a timely manner.
• Respond to change e.g. regulation change, new business and/or technology projects.
• Assist manager(s) in providing status updates to management on a regular basis to create transparency and to reduce risks.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 1-2 years in KYC (Know your Client) on commercial or corporate clients or QC (Quality Control) on commercial or corporate clients specifically.
• Prior Financial Institution Experience

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Prior experience with screening clients and assessing risk
• Fluent in Spanish
• Experience with Fenergo

Soft Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Collaborative skills
• A team player

Best vs Average:

• The ideal candidate would have experience in KYC to be able to support QC’ing the files and supporting all high-risk clients to ensure we have oversight over risk and meet SLAs of the 2025 growth and work with corporate clients

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 2 Rounds:
o 1 round with Managers of the team- 30 Mins – MS Teams Calls – Interview details: Talk about previous experience, role overview, and KYC questions
o 2nd round: Potentially on-site – Hiring manager and Senior Manager – 30 mins – Interview details: Behavioral questions, KYC questions and role fit.
