Summary Of The Role:

• Support platform engineering, software delivery modernization, DevOps transformation, and AI-enabled engineering initiatives within a large enterprise environment. Partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, enhance software delivery performance, and accelerate adoption of modern engineering practices and tooling.

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support platform engineering and software delivery modernization initiatives.
• Design and implement CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Evaluate and implement AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows that improve developer productivity.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and platform teams to improve software delivery processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline engineering workflows through automation and standardized practices.
• Contribute technical expertise and hands-on execution for priority modernization initiatives.
• How much time is being spent in meetings : 1 hr daily
• Who are they interacting with (internal/external) : internal
• Will the contractor have access to any customer data? No

Must-Have Hard Skills:

• DevOps:
o Strong experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
o Experience implementing modern engineering practices in large enterprise environments.
• AI:
o Experience evaluating and adopting AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools.
o Understanding of practical AI use cases across the software development lifecycle.
• GitHub:
o Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, source control management, and developer workflows.
o Experience with GitHub Copilot adoption and engineering enablement is an asset.

Soft Skills:

• Collaboration:
o Works effectively across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and product teams.
• Problem Solving:
o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to simplify complex technical challenges.
• Communication:
o Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Platform Engineering:
o Experience with internal developer platforms, self-service engineering tools, and developer experience initiatives.
• Cloud Technologies:
o Experience with cloud-native platforms and modernization initiatives.

o Experience working within large, regulated enterprises or financial services organizations.
