Job Description:

The Project Lead/Specialist will report to the Program Delivery Lead and support the end-to-end delivery of the project’s deliverables involving high complexity and many cross-functional and stakeholder dependencies.

1. Major Stakeholder accountabilities will include:

• The candidate will be able to transform a high-level vision and complex concepts into solutions with detailed requirements and efficient execution design. They will have demonstrated the necessary leadership skills to support the program with a proven ability to develop others, build relationships, communicate effectively at varying levels, and negotiate and influence to drive delivery.
• Supporting Leadership/Management in managing a diverse range of stakeholders to meet program requirements and project objectives
• Providing leadership to technology and business partners to turn requirements into delivery with analyses and recommendations for solutions that meet business objectives within a timely and cost-effective manner
• Providing timely updates on project status, analyses and findings to senior management and various stakeholders

2. Major Business Operations accountabilities will include:

• Conduct ongoing oversight and review to ensure effective implementation of deliverables and strategic infrastructure through requirement building and stream planning
• Provide support to management by leading stakeholder management activities and communication through stream deliverables
• Provide leadership and support to active stream deliverables through engagement with partners in technology and MRMD
• Understand and manage cross-stream interdependencies
• Assisting the Project Delivery Lead with tracking project tasks, dependencies, and requirement gaps (ensuring traction and resolution on all items)
• Identifying and escalating issues to the appropriate individual(s)/group(s) to ensure prompt attention/resolution
• Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met
• Ensure projects are delivered based on the agreed scope, agreed timeline and approved budget
• Ensuring all infrastructure build activities are supported by adequate documentation
• Develop skills and experience to lead future large change initiatives

Must Have:

• Exp. implementing CFTC’s Swap Dealer requirements
• 8+ yrs exp. as a Project Manager/Specialist (exposure on the business analysis)
• Exp. leading a team
• Familiar with market risk valuation concepts (exp. in a capital markets function)
• Exp. delivering major regulatory programs &/or infrastructure implementations
• Able to clearly communicate complex financial concepts & obtain clarifications as necessary when discussing requirements
• Advanced Excel data manipulation skills (to derive findings/conclusions from large datasets & trouble-shoot errors)
• Exp. in organizational change management activities
• Exp. establishing rapport with various stakeholders throughout the bank
• Superior organizational skills (must be able to identify and track project dependencies & blockers, ensure proper resolution of outstanding items, document meeting minutes and takeaways in a clear and concise manner)

Nice to Have:

• Familiar with client Securities businesses & infrastructure
• Exp. with Python or other programming languages

Additional Skills:

• Exp. with providing leadership, direction, advice & guidance to the team
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and manage time effectively
• Flexibility to be able to adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous or changing conditions
• Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations for business decisions
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
