Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Business Transformation, Commercial
• Project: The project is a multi-year rollout to introduce the new Salesforce CRM tool to the branch network of the bank, replacing the existing CRM. The incumbent would be joining the change management, team and will be responsible for the development of training materials and managing the instructor-led sessions with branch employees.

Candidate Value Proposition:

• This is a high visibility team working in one of the biggest projects within the Canadian Bank. The candidate will get more exposure to Articulate Storyline / Articulate 360 tool.

Typical Day in Role:

• The main function of a trainer is to collect information and conduct research in order to develop training programs for employees. The candidate will also be responsible for facilitating instructor-led training sessions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
• Offer specific training programs to help employees maintain or improve job skills.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups or consultation with managers.
• Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
• Develop training procedure, manuals, guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
• Meet with department leads and management to determine training needs.
• Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years’ demonstrated experience training and developing content.
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
• Demonstrated experience with Articulate Storyline/Articulate 360 – intermediate skills: ability to develop training content and interactive modules
• French Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
• Advance technical skills with MS Suite: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio

Soft Skills Required:

• Presentation skills
• Self-motivated
• Innovative thinking

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• FI sector experience (banking / insurance)
• SF tool knowledge
• Create content & present to large audience.
• Change Management initiatives and demonstrating an understanding of culture change
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training required

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Go getter attitude, confident, along with nice to haves.

Interviews:

• 1st round – 30-45mins MS teams – Discussion on previous experience and getting to know the candidate, Examples of their work and content creation so that Cultural fit can be known.
• Successful candidates will have assignment to be completed.
• 2nd round will be requested if needed as a meet and greet with the director.
